JESSICA JANE POIRIER
Jessica is a facilitator and guide devoted to initiating others along a path of inner alchemy and gnosis. She is a mystic and works with the celestial powers of the stars, planets and the thunders. She has a background in the esoteric traditions of Gnosticism and Hermeticism, as well as formal initiation in an Eastern lineage rooted in Mikkyō and Daoist magic. She has mixed ancestral roots that can be traced back to the Northern native tribes of the Ojibwa, from the Jĕs´sakkīd´ seers that also work with the stars and thunders directly. She is a devotee of Sophia, the Great Cosmic Mother, in her celestial manifestation as the Dakini.
With an academic background in mathematics and theoretical physics, she works as an instructor teaching math & science and is devoted to bridging the realms of spirit with the universal laws of the cosmos.
As a natural born mystic and truth seeker Jessica was drawn to esoteric and occult knowledge at an early age. She sought out answers to the mysteries of the Universe through a variety of different traditions even while just in elementary school. She started studying astrology in her early teen years. With a gift of decoding symbolism and exploring the hidden realms, she was eventually led to university majoring in both mathematics and physics where she devoted herself to studying the correlations of modern science and ancient esoteric wisdom. That path of discovery led her to the transformative spiritual and esoteric techniques found both Eastern, Western, and indigenous traditions.
Although she regularly works as a math and science instructor, outside of academics she is a formal initiate of both Hermetic and Eastern magical traditions and lineages. She is also a full-time mother, priestess, ritualist, and an avid practitioner of inner alchemy and martial arts. She finds that all traditions have the same truths in their essence, and she is passionate about sharing the ancient wisdom and inspiring people to explore the Mysteries directly for themselves.
Jessica is an astrologer and is available for readings, soul guidance and spiritual coaching. She is also the founder of Sacred Science School and serves as a priestess for the Gnostic Temple of the Greater Mysteries.
FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE
Astrology explores the meaningful connections between humanity and the greater cosmos, the relationship between the celestial influences and the movement of the planets and how it impacts the inner world of human consciousness and the psyche. As seasoned students and astrologers know, there are many benefits that the study of astrology brings.
One of the main benefits in studying astrology is perhaps the self knowledge and personal growth that can arise through fully understanding the interaction of your own psyche with cosmic influences. Not only can an individual more deeply understand themselves, their hidden motives, strengths, weaknesses, shadow tendencies and more, but they can understand these cosmic forces and celestial influences, their cycles and the planetary patterns that impact not just them, but all of creation on Earth.
This helps someone understand not just themselves, but other people and things on a much more profound level as well. It also allows you to see how the Mystery expresses itself both externally outside yourself in its outer manifestations of events, reflected in other people and even things, as well as to directly experience how these play out deep inside yourself.
Whether people only use astrology to understand their self and their relationships with others, or merely use it for predictive techniques like knowing when best to plan an event or initiate a new project, the study of astrology by itself brings many benefits.
Yet, although there are many people who are drawn to this knowledge for these very reasons, the majority of individuals who study astrology stop short. In Hermetic Knowledge, there are three keys to the great work: astrology, alchemy and “theurgy” (god-working) or “high magic.” Astrology is just one of these keys, and it’s given as the first for a reason. There can be much more benefit for individuals by using techniques and tools in alchemy to transmute and master these hidden influences in the psyche.
Alchemy in the most general sense is all about transmutation of energies. Astrological influences are energies that exist both externally and internally within the psyche. As above so below, as within so without. Obviously, we can not defy physics and from the first law of thermodynamics (e.g. energy can not be created or destroyed, merely transformed) we can’t just rid ourselves of an astrological influence through destructive means, but we indeed have the power to transmute it. This is what Astral Alchemy is all about: learning how to transmute these astrological influences and channel the energies into their most positive polarities. By applying the knowledge of certain astrological influences, one can use these energies in accordance with the internal practices of alchemy to actually bring meaningful change into their lives.
As a formal initiate in both Western esoteric and Eastern esoteric traditions and lineages, I personally find more practical value with the internal alchemy techniques and methods from the Eastern sources so I often focus on those. Although both have the same goals and the process of alchemy is the same for each, those methods found in the Eastern traditions are a bit more direct and practical when it comes to actually accomplishing the aims of internal alchemy, although they tend to be much more inaccessible and secretive to the West. Yet this is the very reason why I feel compelled to share them with those who really want to bring change into their lives and anyone committed to learning how to subjugate their subconscious and shadow tendencies, rule over the psychic influences and fates within, and to access higher states of consciousness directly.
Manly P. Hall, The Secret Teachings of All Ages
As an example: Say a person has a negatively aspected Venus which is severely afflicted in their chart and has now developed trauma from poor relationships. We first would have to deal directly with the trauma and then target their Venus afflictions. By knowing their unique configuration of aspects expressed in their natal chart, we can directly target how to rectify this influence by using specific practices associated with the planetary influences and if necessary, apply astrological magic and ritual to resolve these issues.
As another example, if someone is going through a heavy Saturn transit and is suffering from major losses and a heavy period of depression, we could apply techniques and practices to transmute these influences and energies and use them in a way that benefits them instead, such as taking up an internal discipline or focusing on a series of purification practices that directly uses the influence of Saturn so that it does not impact them negatively. And depending on other aspects and influences that are present, we can even use Jupiter’s influence as something to bring in the opposite energy and allow for expansion, fortune, joy and happiness to mitigate the Saturnian energy.
Yet another example, if someone is dealing with some Neptune (or maybe some Jupiter) afflictions, whether in their natal chart or a hard transit to a personal planet or angle, and has developed a serious addiction problem (and especially with Neptune, maybe even showing signs of confused, delusional or even psychotic tendencies after something like an ayahuasca ceremony), we can use techniques, practices, or ritual to nullify its negative manifestations by transmuting the energies and then strengthening the expression of the planet that it is afflicting. Depending on the other placements, we could even bring in the energies of Saturn if some heavy grounding or discipline is required.
First it must be understood that our will is stronger than any astrological influence, and the realms of Spirit, if properly accessed, contain true power that overrides any of the lower planetary spheres of influence that effect merely the soul.

Ancient Egyptian Proverb
The ancient alchemists sought to transmute base metals into noble ones (most commonly gold.) In the eyes of a variety of esoteric and Hermetic practitioners, alchemy is fundamentally a spiritual pursuit. Transmutation of lead into gold is presented as an analogy for personal transmutation, purification, and perfection, and symbolic of the regeneration of the human soul. The symbolism of the alchemical metals and even the allegory of transmutation of lead into gold has direct astrological correspondences that relate to the full activation of the kundalini shakti (the secret fire of alchemy) and its full rising and ascent up the proper channel to open the 7 seals.
The ancient mystery traditions had a deep understanding of this celestial knowledge. Not only is this why they developed astrological and astronomical tools to calculate and predict specific cycles, but also why they venerated these influences in their symbolic forms as gods with corresponding mythologies that related directly to these celestial cycles. The Greeks popularized this, most likely after it was taken from the Ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamian sources which in turn probably received it from traditions even older than those. Major Greek philosophers, most notably Pythagoras and Plato, were both very well aware of this ancient knowledge (who both just happened to have been initiated and studied at the mystery schools in Egypt.) Even at the entrance to the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, which was the very heart and center of their ancient world, were the words ‘Know Thyself’.
The Ancient Gnostics were well aware of this too, before the Church rulers came to obliterate and stamp them out of history. In fact the very word “gnosis” itself means direct knowledge through experience. The reason why the ancient Gnostics associated the “archons” with the 7 traditional planetary “rulers” is because that is what they are on one level. They are the guardians of the mysteries, and the gatekeepers that keep one stuck in a fallen, unconscious state unaware of the higher realms of the true Spirit.
In order to unlock the keys and open the seals to directly access the Divine and reverse the fall, one needs to conquer these shadowy archonic and qlippothic forces within oneself first. There is no other way. This is the true meaning of the Christic path. Unfortunately the majority of Christians have taken the infamous quote ”I am the way, the truth, the light” completely out of context and just trapped themselves in another mental prison. The path is narrow. There is only one direct and straight path. This applies to all traditions. There is no "one" tradition that is better than another, some just have more detailed instructions and a better roadmap along the way.
Although there are many popular psychological interpretations of alchemy that originated with Carl Jung’s work, there is much more to alchemy than mere psychology, there is a process with specific stages and phases that cannot be skipped. Each of these come with their own very real initiatory crises and ordeals that cannot be faked or merely glossed over by understanding them intellectually. They must be experienced.
This process must unfold within oneself, astrally or on a soul level, not merely in some “outer” initiation or an external ritual. There are clear indicators that come with each stage and if those are not attained, it does not help the individual to know more beyond that or even to try to do certain practices as they can damage themselves spiritually, energetically and even physically and set themselves back in the process. Sometimes, what has been done cannot be undone and it might even take lifetimes to correct. It is much better to follow the proper methods with the appropriate tools and techniques given to us by the ancient masters.
There is much wisdom that astrology and celestial knowledge can bring, when it is studied with dedication and continual self-reflection. But if you want to go deeper, if you want to create meaningful change not just in your life but in your very being, if you want to experience a deep transmutation of the psyche that impacts you on a soul level, I suggest you start on a real path of internal alchemy.
If you're a true seeker, on an authentic spiritual path, and more so if you consider yourself an initiate of the greater wisdom traditions and the mysteries, astrology and alchemy are intricately interwoven and should be used together.
Know thyself. Rule your stars.
